Good Morning!  Today is Sweet Stamps Center Step card challenge.  I love non traditional card shapes.  It's fun adding variety.  I decided to go western this week.  These western stamps have endless possibilities.  I used 3 different stamps to give this card a layered look.

  

 I used the Covered Wagon, 2 Horse Silhouette 3002, Horse 3004, & Happy Trails stamps.  I highlighted the images using colored pencils and gamsol.  The images were stamped on kraft with dark brown ink.

Sweet Stamps Clallenge Parchment/Vellum

 This weeks challenge at Sweet Stamps is a lot of fun!  You get to play with parchment or vellum on your project.  I like to use different products and techniques it gets me out of the rut I've been in.

This is what I came up with...

 

I used Pansy Cutwork 796 stamp on parchment paper along with Happy Birthday Curved 987 sentiment.  Then colored with copics.  The image is heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used a corner punch to add pansy's in the corners.  And yes.. I'm back with fancy stitches this week!!  I added some pearls and a pansy flower to finish things up.

Sweet Stamps Sketch Challenge

Today is Sweet Stamps 4th challenge!  It's a sketch challenge!  Yeah I LOVE sketch challenges!!  Here is the sketch...

 

And here is what I came up with.... 

 

I used Cameo Lady 589.  This image is so wonderfully versatile.  I used her this time for a wedding or bridal shower card.  But she would be perfect for Mother's Day, anniversary, birthday, or just because.

The layout was so pretty that I kept it simple - white cardstock and shiny silver cardstock.  I ran the top white pieces through an embossing folder and added some flowers and gems.  Can you believe it?? No stitching on this card!!  Well, the image is so elegant I wanted to keep it simple to showcase the image.

Belles 'n Whistles Color Challenge

 Hi all!  Today I have a card for Belles 'n Whistles color challenge.  The challenge is White, Pink, and Red.  Now we know there has been a lot of use of these colors lately so we hope your not tired of them just yet.

Here is my card....

 

I just love this little girl!  As soon as I saw this stamp I had to have it!  It reminded me so much of my childhood.  I used to love making snow angels.  And the card fit perfectly with the weather in Michigan last week when I created it.  The kids had a day off of school on account of the weather and I watched them playing in the snow through my kitchen window.

Sweet Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to Sweet Stamps Blog Hop!!  Today's Hop starts at Jackie's Blog. You should have come here from the very talented Kendra.

Sweet Stamps is excited to present new Wildlife rubber stamps by designer Jacqueline Hill.  Not only is Jackie joining us today but she will be a new member of our design team. (Yeah!) We are having a blog hop to showcase these wonderful new stamps!!    

 

This image is Wedding Swans.  Since I have need of a few wedding cards this image was just perfect.  I cut the image out in a double heart pattern and colored it with copics.  I can't wait to color up all these wildlife images!  They are so wonderful aren't they?  Well, back to the hop....

Visit each team member's blog and collect a letter.  Mine is "M"!!  Once you get all the letters, unscramble them to reveal the 2 word phrase.  Then return to the Challenge blog and leave a comment with the answer.  We will be chosing one winner to receive all of the new stamps.  We will also be awarding random prizes of rubber stamps chosen from the readers who comment on each member's blog so be sure to leave some love!!

Belles 'n Whistles Things I Love

Happy Valentine's Day!  I was chosen to be a guest designer for the next 2 challenges on Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog.  This next challenge is Things I Love.  You can use anything you love from colors to paper, embellishments, and layouts.  The only requirement is to use an Elisabeth Bell image.

I decided to go with some yellow today cause there has been so much red out there lately.  And I love bright colors.

 

This is A Child's Prayer from the Forever Young Collection.  Isn't she precious? I paper pieced her night gown and then used copics to highlight it and to color the rest of the image.  The CS is Bazzill and Kraft.  Tim Holtz Checkerboard embossing folder, a few flowers, and some stitching finished up this card.

Happy Saturday!  I hope everyone is all dug out from the snow.  I have been watching the neighbor children play on their sleds and couldn't resist coloring up this stamp by WOJ.  I didn't get a chance before Christmas.  Aren't these little penguins adorable?

 

They are Penguin's Winter Fun.  I colored them up with copics and used the new design paper by Whiff of Joy Winter Pretties.  These papers were perfectly matched to the winter stamps released.  I did a little stitching, added some pearls, puffy 3-D glue and ribbon and there you are.

I have no big plans for this weekend.  Being that the men will be glued to the television tomorrow, I will be camped out in my craftroom.  I have my DH record the Superbowl though cause I just love those commercials!  Can't wait to see if Betty White is featured again.  How about you?  What are your favorites?

A Flower Bud

I hope everyone has survived the storm!  We are starting to clear things out here in Michigan.  While the snow was falling, I was working away in my craftroom. 

Cause I'm from PA, I am very familiar with Punxsutawney Phil.  And being that he did not see his shadow - I was thinking Spring!

 

 Recipe:  Stamps - SCACD Rose Petal by Elizabeth Bell, sentiment WOJ;  Paper - Bazzill, Craft, BasicGrey Porcelain; Inks; Copic, Memento Tuxedo Black; Tools - Spellbinder Nestibilities circle, scalloped circle, rectangle, Sizzix Swirls embossing folder, sewing machine; Embellishments - ribbon, flowers, glitter, glossy accents.

I just love this little image!  Isn't she just darling.  I wanted something to brighten and warm things up a bit.  I've decided to enter this into the That's Krafty Thursday # 46 and the Catered Crop Challenge FTR4.
